The conditions to apply for a GLOBAL PASS® Family Card are as follows.
- Applied by the account holder
- Up to two Family Cards per account
- 16 years or older (high school students are eligible to apply)
To issue a new Family Card, one of the following valid IDs with his/her name, date of birth, and address is necessary (enclose a copy when mailing in the application). If the family name of a new Family Card member is different from the account holder, please provide us with a document which shows relationship between the account holder and the Family Card applicant (i.e. Japanese official certificates issued within 6 months or marriage certificate issued overseas).
- Driver's License (both sides)
- Passport (the page showing name, photograph, and date of birth as well as the page showing address)(*)
- Individual Number Card (front)
- Residence Card (both sides)
- Special Permanent Resident Certificate (both sides)etc.
- *Japanese passports applied on February 4, 2020 or after are not valid due to the abolition of Information on Bearer.
The purpose of GLOBAL PASS debit transaction is for livelihood settlement only (e.g. payment for shopping, travel). Furthermore, funds withdrawn overseas should be used only to cover costs associated with your overseas stay (e.g. accommodation expenses, travel expenses, dining expenses, other living expenses, purchase of personal items and gifts, school fees, medical expenses).
