Overseas administrative fees will be required when canceling the transaction ("Cancellation") or returning the goods/products ("Return") after using non-handled foreign currencies (other than 17 types of currencies), therefore the refund amount could be different from the debited amount, especially in the Return process.
These overseas administration fees shall be borne by the customer because the refund amount needs to be converted to yen even if the cancellation/return of transaction was caused by merchants’ circumstances. In case of "Return", foreign currency exchange rate may be different from the one at the purchase time to the one at the return time, so the loss incurred by the exchange rate difference shall be borne by the customer.
Please refer to the example below for the details.
Ex) Purchase NPR10, 000 products, the exchange rate at purchase and refund are
At purchase: NPR1.00=1yen
At refund : NPR1.00=0.8yen
(NPR=Nepalese rupee)
In the case that the purchase (transaction) cancellation information from the member store is "Cancellation"
At purchase : 1yen +(1yen x3%*=0.03yen)=1.03yen
1.03yen x NPR10,000=10,300yen (Withdrawal)
At refund : 1yen +(1yen x3%*=0.03yen)=1.03yen
1.03yen xNPR10,000=10,300yen (Refund)
(The exchange rate of refund is the same as purchase rate.)
In the case that the purchase (transaction) cancellation information from the member store is "Return"
At purchase : 1yen +(1yen x3%*=0.03yen)=1.03yen
1.03yen xNPR10,000=10,300yen (Withdrawal)
At refund: 0.8yen - (0.8yen x3%*=0.02yen)=0.78yen
0.78yen x NPR10,000=7,800yen (Refund)
(The exchange rate of refund is calculated by deducting the overseas administration fee from refund exchange rate.)
- *3% is the overseas administration fee
In addition, refund based on cancellation/return of product purchases with currencies (17 types) covered by our service which were settled by the GAIKA FULL BACK may be made in foreign currencies. In that case, the amount of conversion to yen has possibility to increase/decrease from the settled amount due to the fluctuation of the exchange rate.
